THE WELCOME TABLE
Are you new to Blackheath or surrounding areas? Or have you lived here for some time?

There are many residents in the Upper Mountains who would like to meet locals and become part of the community. There are also many locals who would like to welcome new residents into their community. If you are either of these types of people. there is now a time and a place to get together. This is not a club nor an organisation nor a dating game. There are no registration fees or charges. It is simply a welcome idea developed bye community members and supported by BANC. "JUST WALK IT'
A Community Walking Group has started in Blackheath!!!

The National Heart Foundation's "Just Walk It" program is being successfully implemented in your local community. This new community program is initiated by community members and supported bye Blackheat Area Neighbourhood Centre (BANC).
The purpose if this program is to promote both regular exercise and create an activity for people within the community to enjoy with each other. " Walking with a group is more social less 'have to' and enhances the enjoyment of th activity, which provides a motivation to continue".

There are many benefits of regular physical activity, these include: lower blood pressure, improvement in well-being,
improvement in both enerygy and cholesterol levels and in the management of diabetes. Getting fit and healthy should not be a chore, if you want to have fun while exercising come and join us! All fitness levels welcome. The group meets at The Blackheath Oval on Mondays at 8:45am.

"Tuesday Twilight Walk"
Our twilight walks have commenced, we meet on Tuesdays at 5:45pm at The Oval.
